No. If you already own the mobile version you don’t need to buy or download it again. It will continue to work with wifi sync and also supports cloud sync.

Why would I want cloud sync when I can do wifi sync?
Wifi sync is great because it keeps your data local and you don’t need a subscription. However with wifi sync, you need to have both the desktop and the mobile version open at the same time for it to be able to sync.
On the other hand, you don’t have to remember anything for cloud sync. It just works.
