Is work life/personal life balance just a pipe dream? Or is it reserved just for the super “bionically” organized select few? Maybe not. In Laura Vanderkam’s latest book I Know How She Does It: How Successful Women Make the Most of Their Time, she details how most anyone can learn a few time saving tips. This health.com article further elaborates on the book. One awesome tip is how to leave work on time, or even early. She says: “An hour before you aim to leave, revisit your to-do list. Pretend an evil villain, laughing maniacally, has informed you he will steal your phone and laptop at 5 p.m. and keep them until the next morning.”   Knowing that, what would you still do? What wouldn’t you do?” Other useful tips are to work “split shift”. For instance, leaving work early for your child’s sporting event, but working another hour or two later in the evening. And working a big on weekends is not out of the question either. It’s a great feeling to leave for work Monday morning feeling like you are ahead of the game.
