How can we help you?

I’m getting duplicate sessions

This only affects people who are:

  1. On MacOS
  2. Cloud syncing
  3. Calendar syncing
  4. Not signed with your Apple ID on one of your Macs

If you’re signed in with your Apple ID on one Mac but not another, Apple creates different IDs for each calendar event. OfficeTime sees this as a different event on each of your machines, brings it in and then syncs that across. This results in an ever growing list of duplicate sessions.

The solution is to ensure you are signed in with your Apple ID on each Mac you use OfficeTime on.

You can use the Edit->Remove Duplicates menu to remove duplicates. You may need to do this more than once. You may also need to remove the duplicates manually from Apple Calendar.

However as long as you have calendar sync on, new duplicates will continue to be made. This will be the case even if you now sign into your Mac with your Apple ID. After signing in, new projects that you sync with Apple Calendar will work fine. Old projects will continue to duplicate. We recommend turning off calendar sync for any old affected projects and starting a new project so sync with.
