Decimal time

Mac/PC

Do you prefer to see your time as 1.25 hours instead of 1h 15m? No problem.

Go to the preferences (under the OfficeTime menu for Mac and the Edit menu for PC.) Change the above option under the General tab.

Note that you can enter decimal time even if you keep the 1.5h format. Anywhere you can edit a duration, just type a decimal number like “.5” and it will be converted for you.

When exporting or making an invoice, you can also choose what format you’d like displayed.

Remember: You can set rounding in the preferences to round to, say the nearest quarter of an hour or the nearest 6 minutes.

iPhone/iPad

The mobile version does not yet display time as decimal. However exports are converted to decimal. You can also change the rounding in the settings (the gear icon at the top of the main screen) to round time to be decimal compatible. For example, rounding to the nearest 6 minutes ensures that times will always export cleanly as, say 0.1, 0.2, 1.6 minutes, etc.
