Once in a while, I look at the list below to remind myself what characteristics I should master in order to thrive as a business leader. It makes me humble, thankful for what I’ve achieved so far, and eager to master the characteristics I’m lacking. To support everyone who reads this blog, I’m sharing the list:
Be crystal clear on what is important and the plans to achieve what you’re aiming for.
Have a crystal clear aim on what is important and a solid plan to reach it but be aware that the aim, as well as the plans to reach what you’re aiming for, might change. Do not be afraid of change or failure because both are part of your education. Refocus. Do not be distracted by unimportant issues or people or both. Consistency, hard word and resiliency are the great trifecta of life and success.
Be the one to set the ambitious goals but be likeable too.
Know, deep inside that you can follow the plans and achieve them. It is widely known that when people believe in themselves, others also believe in them. People will be eager to work for you when they feel the respect and your desire to form true relationships, above your personal ambitions. Treat others the way you would like to be treated; who wouldn’t agree with that? Work with others as a team leader not a ruthless dictator. Exercise self-control, especially in difficult times.
The only way to impress the ones above you (in the business world) is by taking on projects that are not on your duties.
Keep on taking initiatives; never let your imagination to rest. Be that small percentile of people who have and live their visions. Reach the level where beating the competition is a given; challenge yourself by competing with you. Educate yourself: put your knowledge to action. Your energy will show how much you love what you do.

Until next time,
