Screen Shot 2013-12-02 at 12.54.54 PMThe New Year will be here before we know it, but before the inevitable rush of holiday cheer and office parties, take this time to get productive about 2014. With all of the New Year’s resolutions and personal goals, your employees will be ready and willing to tackle new goals in the office. Make the most of their holiday spirit and become mindful of the goals and expectations you’d like to see happen in the New Year. Here are 3 tips for getting your office primed for 2014.

    1. • Clear out your inbox of old emails. Nothing creates more stress than feeling like you have thousands of emails and not enough time to go through them. Chances are, most of your emails are junk and can be thrown out anyway. Take the time now to clean up your inbox so that you can start the New Year with a fresh slate.

  1. • Unplug. Take some time to put away the distractions such as social media sites, or your cell phone. The world won’t fall apart around you if you disconnect for a few hours.
  2. • Increase Automation-Delegation.  Those tasks that you do every day, without out fail, can probably be automated or at least delegated. Stop wasting your time on tedious tasks when someone else can do them.

What approaches will you be taking to gear your team up for the New Year? Do you have other suggestions to add to this list? We’d love to hear them. Please share your thoughts in the comments section.

Until next time,

Yours truly,
