Focusing on being productive while focusing on your product growth is a feat that could be accomplished. A plethora of product growth ideas is flowing constantly but turns into slow manifested products. You simply need to beat the competitors to the market. Getting to the end product is the goal. I prefer to take these 5 steps that allow me to be productive, focus on my product growth and yet enjoy life. I choose to focus on one step every day.

Day #1: Stay Grounded and Local

Focus on aligning the entire team to your concept and the concept essence.  Focus on customer interaction boosting the concept. Meet your neighbors, your customers and your suppliers. Interview them to understand the beat of your surroundings and competition. It will allow you to gather the right data to make well-informed decisions.

Day #2: Be Open and Ask the Experts

Statistics show that planning growth can be sidetracked by the inability to understand or work with correct logistics information. Consulting with experts on your field or line of products will accelerate your growth. Use these “fresh eyes” to provide a boost to your product growth and increase your productivity.

Day #3: Review Your Priorities

Set the third day to review your priorities, based on your business goals as well as the lifestyle you want.  Take a fresh look, revise them if needed. Make the list of priorities handy; be aware of them and the plan of action. Finally, are you actively working to accomplish them?

Day #4: Integration

Integration is not new but hidden for many. Stop the insanity of figuring out private time. Integrate by building a good of your social life around your work world.  You should be able to accomplish that or maybe you need to change your work environment. Have you tried it?

Day #5: Focus on Distractions

Most of us are not even aware of the daily distractions. Detect distractions and make a choice to limit non-productive times. Distractions can easily be the black hole for time, productivity and product growth.

Here is a tip for your day(s) off; start by deciding to stop beating yourself up. You definitely can not accomplish everything. Celebrate the progress and remember life passing you by; get aboard the fun locomotive and enjoy your time off.

Until next time,

Yours truly,
