Who hasn’t felt guilty about wasting money, wishing that you had spent the money on something else, regretting that you won’t get that money back, and quite often,  mourning the loss of the things you could have spend your money instead. And yet most of us do it again and again, we hope that “this time would be different.” True?

ID-100223592By the very definition of insanity (doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results), we should all stop repeating the same old patterns and start following through. Well, How? The best way, I found, is Accountability. Find yourself an Accountability Partner.

Research carefully and find the person who would make sure you would not use any of the usual everyday excuses that derail your business or budget, someone who would not accept the roadblock of the cardinal sin of perfectionism; the person who would remind you of the confidence you should demonstrate for our own work. Enlist the person who will remind you of your creativity, skills in organizing your ideas into marketable products.

You should be able to do all this for yourself, but it is a tremendous pressure and usually that pressure alone gets people derailed!

Consider how often you have not shown up for yourself or even worse how often do you show up for someone who is expecting you to show up?

That’s why accountability works. It puts you back on your tracks.

Until next time,

Yours truly,
